Defending Constitutional Rights against AI-Driven Surveillance and Forensic Power
AI is not just changing how nonprofits work. It is changing how government power is built, justified, and hidden.
In the criminal legal system, AI-enabled surveillance, forensic technologies, and integrated policing platforms are expanding faster than defenders, courts, and affected communities can investigate, understand, or challenge them. These systems will shape the practical meaning of privacy, due process, confrontation, equal protection, and democracy.
The Forensic Evidence Table helps defenders, advocates, and communities understand these technologies before their use becomes ordinary infrastructure. We translate complex forensic and surveillance systems into plain language, support litigation and policy challenges, and build resources that help protect Constitutional rights in an era of automated state power.
This work needs support now. Funding would allow us to develop public explainers, defender trainings, litigation-support resources, rapid-response analysis, and practical tools for challenging emerging AI, surveillance, and forensic technologies.
